It is imperative that your child does not eat or drink after the specified time. For a list of acceptable food and drink and the times at which they may be given prior to surgery, please click here.

Surgery may be cancelled if your child has anything to eat or drink after the specified times.

Please arrive at least 1 hour prior to your appointment. Anesthesia will speak with you prior to the procedure. Patients should wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing. Your child may bring one favorite toy or comfort item. Please, no jewelry, valuables, nail polish, makeup or contact lenses.

A parent or guardian must remain at the surgery center at all times during your child's visit.

Only 2 people will be able to go back to the pre-op and post-op areas with your child. Any other family members will need to remain in the waiting area. We encourage you to make other arrangements for siblings. Please do not leave unattended children in the waiting area.
All children MUST be driven home by a parent or guardian. Please, no buses, taxis or other public transportation.
